Day 1: Evidence Synthesis in HTA with Zoltán Vokó

About the course: Pooling scientific evidence quantitatively enhances its application in clinical medicine, health policy, and health economics. Conducting meta-analyses is an essential skill for professionals working in health technology assessment. During this problem-based course, participants will acquire skills needed to conduct systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and network meta-analyses independently.

Day 2: AI in Value Assessment & Sustainability in HTA with Ákos Bernard Jóźwiak, Tamás Dóczi & Lászlo Balkányi

About the course: The first half of this one-day training provides healthcare professionals with a solid foundation in AI and digitalisation, covering core concepts, applications, and advanced topics like AI ethics, patient privacy, LLMs and predictive analytics. The second half will focus on sustainability in HTA, exploring the integration of environmental aspects into HTA, the methodological challenges and stakeholder preferences related to this and where current EU guidelines stand on the subject.

Day 3: Implementation of Value-Based Pricing with Zoltán Kaló, Balázs Nagy & Bertalan Németh

About the course: Value-based decisions in health care require knowledge about how to compare the economic value of health technologies to their price. This course explains how to translate theories to practice, including within the subject of the value judgement of health technologies based on traditional value elements, the implementation of value-based pricing in policy decisions and extending traditional value frameworks with patient-centric and societally oriented value elements.
